Headliner Al Park
Al has quickly emerged as a rising talent on the national comedy scene. He won both the Boston Comedy Festival and Cleveland Comedy Festival competitions, and was a finalist in the prestigious Seattle International Comedy Competition. Named Boston’s Best Comedian by Improper Bostonian magazine, Park mixes sharp observation and cultural satire with plenty of self-deprecation for a unique, authentic comic voice. His standup can be heard on Audible.com and seen on NBC’s Seeso.com website, and he made his television debut on FOX TV’s “Laughs” in 2017.
Featuring Jiayong Li
Jiayong bid farewell to his family in Beijing and embarked on a journey of mathematical study at MIT. Along the way, he came upon stand-up comedy and started delivering his cerebral material in a calm and comfortable voice. Watching him perform is a side-splitting yet soothing experience. He was one of the New Faces at Montreal Just for Laughs in 2017.
Host Mike Dorval
After a mere three months of performing, Mike won the NH Comedy Festival, defeating some of New England’s most established comics and he quickly climbed the comedic ranks to become one of the youngest headliners in Boston history. He’s been praised by the Boston Globe as “One of Boston’s Best.” Mike has been featured on Comedy Central’s Laugh Riots, starred in numerous TV commercials, and toured overseas for the USO. He has served as Comic In Residence at The Comedy Studio and is a favorite of the Boston Comedy Festival. He’s written and performed several one man shows which have had runs at the Charles Playhouse and Wellfleet Harbor Actors Theater.
Twenty-Nine offers simple, authentic rustic Mediterranean fare. They seek to redefine the suburban restaurant experience into one that is relaxed, cozy, and intimate — a place folks go to enjoy a great meal, great drink, and great company. They're fussy about simplicity — rustic fare that is reminiscent of the Western Mediterranean’s comfort food classics — bringing healthful, fresh, and vibrant flavors to your table. They draw inspiration from the coastal regions of Italy, France, Spain, and Greece, with just a touch of Morocco. Fugitive’s events take place in the ample second floor dining room which sports a big, beautiful bar, several comfy banquettes, as well as small tables and high-tops.
